GamyFi x Cross-Chain Bridge: Discord AMA Transcript
Recently, Cross-Chain Bridge hosted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) with Christian Eichinger, Cross-Chain Bridge Co-Founder, and Satya Prakash Co-Founder of GamyFi, in Discord. There were some really good questions, so we thought it deserves more attention. For those who missed the live session, below is a transcript.
AMA Transcript
Satya Prakash — Hello Everyone, Thanks for having me today. I’m Satya Prakash from GamyFi. I’m one of the co-founders of the platform & a core contributor.
GamyFi is a fair for all Fantasy Sports Platform & multi-chain NFT marketplace. GamyFi is building an ecosystem of blockchain & NFT-powered fantasy sports & NFT platform for sports fans & creators. GamyFi Platform allows users to create their own custom team in cricket, football & basketball matches & each points with each score eating a place in the leaderboard. The top leaderboard users receive GFX rewards. We are also working on a NFT based Fantasy League Platform. Our NFT marketplace is a permissionless feeless decentralization NFT trading platform which allows everyone to trade any NFT collections including our own on Avalanche, BNBChain, Arbitrum & Moonriver with more chains coming soon.Chris — Hey guys! Sure, I’m Christian from Hamburg/Germany and I’m the co-founder of Cross-Chain Bridge. I came in contact with Bitcoin for the first time in 2012, but at that time I did not yet recognize the bright future of Crypto. In Q1/2017 I bought my first ETHs, which I have hodl until today despite the big price movements in 2017 and 2018. I am a passionate software engineer, and in 2021 we started to develop the Cross-Chain Bridge concept. The Cross-Chain Bridge is a permissionless, security-focused and (in the future) community-governed bridging protocol to connect an increasing number of blockchains and, eventually, all major blockchains with each other. The protocol incentivizes providing liquidity for both projects and end users as well as provides a seamless bridging experience for tokens and NFTs — by bringing fee participation, yield farming, self-listings for projects and building other innovative features into the world of bridges.
What’s in store for the future of GamyFi, are there any upcoming developments/plans you can share with us?
Satya Prakash — GamyFi has been building since 2020 & plans to keep building for the community. Currently, we are working on improving our mobile app & adding support for iOS. Multiple new features such as leaderboard, gem rewards & much more are coming this quarter. GamyFi NFT marketplace currently supports 4 chains (Avalanche, Arbitrum, BNBChain, Moonriver) while our mobile app is available on polygon chain. We plan to integrate 8–12 more chains this year to our marketplace including but not limited to Moonbeam, Astar, Shiden, Evmos, Aurora, Harmony & more.

Christian, I’d like to ask you the same questions, what’s in store for the Cross-Chain Bridge in the coming months?
Chris — Totally, next Tuesday we will have a strategic meeting with the whole team, to take a closer look at all aspects of the market and look for ways to position ourselves as the best possible product for our given niche in the market. Our goal is to have the best product in the market and the best Bridge experience, and we are tirelessly seeking solutions for this. Here’s our roadmap for further insight: https://docs.crosschainbridge.org/roadmap-2022
This table attempts to summarize the 2022 Cross-Chain Bridge Roadmap into a digestible and organized format. The approach here was to find the middle ground between impact and development efforts.
It’s clear that GamyFi needed a bridging solution, which ultimately led to partnering with the Cross-Chain Bridge. Could you share with us what the experience has been like so far and in what ways the Bridge has benefited GamyFi and your community?
Satya Prakash – GamyFi Token initially launched on Ethereum, BNB Chain & later expanded to Polygon. While we had token holders on all chains through rewards distribution, but there was no way for users to bridge tokens from one chain to another to trade or stake. For which we required a bridge. There were a very few liquidity-based bridges which supported pre-existing tokens. After researching for a bit, Cross Chain Bridge seemed to tick all the boxes. It was secure, supported pre-existing tokens & also had an awesome community.
Christian, in addition to bridging GFX, what other benefits can the GamiFy community utilize the Cross-Chain Bridge for?
Chris — Definitely! Besides GFX being able to bridge tokens between Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon, Cross-Chain Bridge also offers Liquidity Pools which are available on all supported chains. The Liquidity Pools are single-sided without impermanent loss risk (Stake GFX-LP tokens and earn 15% of protocol incentive fees collected). And Reward Pools (Stake $BRIDGE and earn $GFX). Here, 70% of the fees collected from bridging fees in a specific token are sent to the corresponding Reward Pool. Also, the Cross-Chain Bridge has a NFT bridging function for all of our supported Networks. This is something GamyFi could possibly utilize for their NFT collection in the future. Lastly, we also support Avalanche, Fantom, and soon more EVM chains. So, if GamyFi chooses to explore other ecosystems, we can help GFX bridge there.
Hi Christian, are you planning to add new networks soon to the Cross-Chain Bridge?
Chris – Yes, we will add the Autobahn Network next. After the next major update including Cancel bridging, Router, redesign and other features we will focus on more new networks.
I was wondering if GamyFi has plans to add more sports for creating your own teams? Any chance of Rugby being added sometime in the future?
Satya Prakash — We currently have cricket, football & planning to add basketball next. We will surely consider rugby if community is interested.
Could you give us your feedback on how you see the future of Blockchain and what role Cross-Chain and Bridging will play in the future?
Chris — Given the current market, that’s a tough question when you look at the effects over the last 24h with Luna and UST. But apart from this severe shock, we are currently in a sideways movement. A phase in which important basic infrastructure is being built, and from my point of view, a solid bridging solution is one of the most important infrastructures that is currently being created. It is the basis for implementing, for example, games for high-value Ethereum NFT Collections on Sidechains / Rollups / whatever, which cannot be run on Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain themselves due to gas fees. In my opinion, with a high probability, GameFi will become the mega trend of the next big bull run and will be more significant than the Metaverse. A gamified utility for NFT collections combined with attractive DeFi staking and farming models will be nuts.
Could you share your thoughts on the future of an interconnected Blockchain world and how you see GamyFi interacting in it?
Satya Prakash — I believe the future of blockchain technology is very bright & cross chain bridging technology will play a vital role in it. Only one chain can’t meet the requirements of current user base; therefore, users need a fast & secure bridge to transfer their assets & capture opportunities. I’ll be looking forward to seeing cross chain bridge become a major pillar in the interconnected blockchain world.
Alright everyone, we’re going to end it here. I wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who joined us, and thank you to Christian and Satya for taking the time out of their busy schedule for the AMA today!
